No Shave November 2017 at PatientX

This November, the dudes of PatientX will let their beards grow while collecting supplies to help men in our area.

Awareness for Men

For years, November has been the month to raise awareness for health issues that affect men. No Shave November has coined itself as “A Unique Way to Grow Cancer Awareness” by forgoing shaving and grooming in order to spur conversation and raise cancer awareness during the month of November.

The Movember Foundation raises funds for men’s health. They promote 3 ways to help their movement: 1) grow a mustache and raise funds, 2) challenge yourself to get physically active and raise funds, and 3) host an event to raise awareness and funds.

No Shave November at PatientX

We do things a little different here at PatientX, so we have come up with our version of No Shave November. We snapped quick photos of the 4 PatientX bros on November 1st (see below), and we will update you on the progress on the 30th.

We aren’t just doing this to grow super awesome beards. We are collecting supplies to help other dudes in our area. Throughout the month of November, we will be collecting the following items for the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House:

  1. Disposable razors
  2. Bar soap
  3. New towels & washcloths
  4. Aerosol Deodorant
  5. Toothbrushes & toothpaste

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House has provided over 14,000 safe nights, served 1,034 unique guests, and served almost 11,000 meals through the first seven months of 2017. That is amazing. AND they have placed over 80 dudes into permanent housing. Find more about the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House. We will also accept anything on their items needed list.

If you’d like to donate items, message us on Facebook and we will make arrangements to pick up your items.

PatientX Dudes

Below is where each PatientX dude started on November 1st.

Items to consider:

  • Michael was the only one that was clean shaven, but he also has to shave twice a day.
  • This used to be Josh
  • John sports a very respectable red beard every day & was 100% against being clean shaven.
  • There are 15-year-old boys that can grow more facial hair than Aaron.
