Michael Winkleman
CEO & FounderMichael is the CEO and Founder of PatientX, a fast-growing healthcare marketing and branding firm. PatientX strategically develops digital innovations and strategic ideas to encourage patients to view their healthcare providers with a fresh, forward-thinking perspective, and, thus, to nurture better relationships between patient and provider.
In his role as CEO, Michael takes great pleasure in helping healthcare providers and healthcare business-to-business clients with the unique challenges they face. With nearly 20 years in his field, Michael is no stranger to the challenges one faces in marketing and branding, and he is able to draw from his deep well of experience to deliver optimal strategies and solutions for clients.
Like any great leader, Michael is backed up by an exceptional team who are experienced in healthcare, public relations, marketing, design, and digital development.
Michael regularly speaks at conferences, sharing PatientX’s marketing knowledge and providing valuable insights into current marketing trends. He has shared his experience at numerous conferences, such as The College of Radiology, College of Anesthesiology, IMP Leadership Conference, South Dakota Association of Hospitals Organization, Physician Hospitals of America, and Great Plains Quality Innovation Network, just to name a few. His work has been published in several books, online publications, and in more than 25 different industry magazines, such as Becker’s Healthcare Review, Midwest Med, Med News and Avera Cancer Magazine.
Michael is HWCP, CHSP, and PPEC certified, and his background includes a variety of video, documentary, and photography work in multiple surgery rooms and medical facilities across the U.S. His “fly on the wall” experience has given him an inside view into the struggles both patients and providers face when dealing with medical issues and care.
When he isn’t working, Michael enjoys being a family man. He loves taking his kids fishing on the weekends and enjoys traveling with his wife. Michael’s other passions are hot sauces and barbecue sauces, rock climbing, and hiking.
