At PatientX, every mission begins with purpose.
Our work has always centered around helping healthcare organizations grow and connect with their communities. But this year, our mission reached far beyond marketing. We set out to bring light, joy, and hope to children around the world, and that is how Commander Cosmo and the Mission to Save the Moon was born.
A Spark of Creativity That Became Something Bigger
What started as a creative idea from our team turned into something extraordinary. We wanted to design something that would bring smiles to children in hospitals during the holiday season, a small reminder that light can always return, even in dark or difficult times.
The result was Commander Cosmo and the Mission to Save the Moon, an original coloring and activity book written and illustrated by the PatientX team.
The story follows Commander Cosmo, an astronaut from the PatientX Center, on a mission to repair the Moon’s broken lights so that it can shine again. With every page, children can color, solve puzzles, and join Cosmo on his journey to bring brightness back to the night sky.
Behind the story lies a reflection of who we are: a team built on heart, innovation, and transparency, our core values. The same principles that drive our marketing work also fueled this creative project.
From Concept to Care: The Mission Takes Flight
Once the idea took shape, the PatientX team rallied together to make it real. Designers, writers, strategists, and partners collaborated to bring Commander Cosmo’s story to life, from character sketches and storylines to the final printed book.
But we did not want it to stop at creativity. We wanted impact.
With the help of our sponsors, clients, and creative partners, we distributed more than 1,000 copies of the coloring book, along with toys and care packages, to children’s hospitals in the United States, Guatemala, Colombia, and Ukraine.
Each book represented more than just a gift. It was a moment of comfort, imagination, and hope for a child spending the holidays in a hospital bed.
Celebrating Our Artists and Collaborators
This project would not have been possible without the incredible artists who donated their time and talent to the Artist Gallery featured in the final pages of the book.
Their illustrations, separate from the main story, were a way to showcase creativity from around the world and to share art that inspires joy and healing. Each artist who contributed to the gallery helped us expand the reach of this mission and reminded us that creativity truly connects people across borders.
We are grateful to every artist, client, and sponsor who believed in the vision and helped make it real.
Beyond the Pages: A Story That Reflects Who We Are
For us at PatientX, Commander Cosmo and the Mission to Save the Moon was more than a creative side project. It was a reflection of our belief that great outcomes start with great care.
In healthcare, in marketing, and in humanity, our job is to help light the way forward.
When we lead with heart, embrace innovation, and communicate with honesty, we can make an impact that goes far beyond results on a spreadsheet. We can make a difference in people’s lives.
Continuing the Mission
The mission does not end here.
We hope this project inspires others in the healthcare community and beyond to use creativity as a force for good. Whether it is through stories, art, or acts of kindness, every effort counts.
At PatientX, we will keep finding new ways to combine creativity with compassion, because every small spark has the power to light up the world.
To everyone who partnered with us this year, thank you for helping us make this mission possible.
Together, we have shown that when we share light, the world shines a little brighter.
